Ai Space (officially stylized as ai sp@ce) is a Japanese virtual 3D massively multiplayer online social game (MMOSG) developed by several companies that formed the Ai Space Production Committee which was launched in 2008 for Windows PCs. The game closed down on June 30, 2011.

AI Space explored the integration of artificial intelligence with virtual characters, influencing early thinking about autonomous agents in social worlds. It demonstrated how NPCs could act as social participants rather than static props. This helped shape later experiments in AI‑driven companions and procedural social behavior. Its legacy is visible in modern AI‑NPC research and conversational agents in virtual spaces.
