MUSEUM HUBS

Mapping the Metaverse

The Virtual Worlds Museum™ is creating digital museum hubs across the metaverse, documenting our journey of exploration and discovery. You can follow our progress in our Mapping Immersive Worlds Github page and learn more about it in Wagner James Au's New World Notes blog, and share your thoughts. Learn MORE ABOUT OUR EXHIBITS HERE.

This endeavor is possible with contributions from the XR community, members of the OMI Group, and our dedicated volunteers. Please reach out if you'd like to help build out museum branded worlds.

First Mapping and Hub Creation Efforts: March 2023

The Virtual Worlds Museum™ began with our GitHub mapping initiative, establishing the foundation for our comprehensive exploration of virtual worlds. This initial effort cataloged platforms and created the framework for our future museum hubs. Our GitHub page serves as the origin point of our metaverse mapping journey, documenting our early research and platform exploration.
