Anyland was a Virtual Reality universe to create your home, chat with others, build, script, explore, play, learn & live in.
Anyland introduced a surreal, toy‑like approach to VR worldbuilding, where users could create objects and environments entirely inside VR using intuitive tools. It influenced the idea that VR creation should feel playful and embodied rather than technical. Its community produced some of the earliest examples of VR‑native art and experimental social spaces. The platform helped define the “weird, whimsical VR sandbox” aesthetic seen in later creator‑driven VR worlds.
