BurnerSphere is a groundbreaking social VR platform created by BRCvr in collaboration with Burning Man Project. At its core, it’s an immersive documentary experience that tells the story of the vibrant communities that make up Burning Man.
BurnerSphere is a custom-built social VR platform developed by BRCvr following the shutdown of AltspaceVR in 2023. Built in Unity for Meta Quest and desktop platforms, it combines multiplayer social VR, spatial audio, photogrammetry-scanned artwork, immersive 360° and stereoscopic video, and interactive 3D environments to recreate Burning Man culture as an explorable virtual experience.
