Core hosts user-generated games that are designed for an older teen and adult audience. Core's game creation system is designed to simplify video game creation in order to allow more individuals to develop games.
Core brought high‑fidelity, Unreal‑powered UGC creation to a mainstream audience, bridging the gap between modding culture and metaverse‑style worldbuilding. It influenced the conversation around creator economies by offering revenue sharing and professional‑grade tools to everyday users. Its Fortnite‑adjacent aesthetic helped normalize the idea that game engines could serve as metaverse platforms. Core contributed to the shift toward “game‑as‑creation‑platform” ecosystems.
